Oticon Salen på DTU var fyldt til sidste års udgave af Plastic Engineering Day. Nu kan du se programmet for dette års arrangement den 24. oktober.

Den 24. oktober er du inviteret til Plastic Engineering Day, der bygger bro mellem ingeniørstuderende og plastvirksomheder. Vi kan nu løfte sløret for de mange spændende oplægsholdere fra bl.a. Danfoss, LEGO Koncernen, Fiberline Composites og BASF. Det er gratis at tilmelde sig.

Plastic Engineering Day bliver afholdt den 24. oktober på DTU i Lyngby, og programmet er netop blevet offentliggjort. Det indeholder bl.a. spændende oplæg fra LEGO Koncernen, Fiberline Composties, SolarSack, Danfoss, Auto Desk og BASF.

Desuden indretter vi et messeområde, hvor interesserede virksomheder kan deltage med en stand og vise sig frem over for ingeniørstuderende og repræsentanter fra den danske plastbranche.

Der er stadig ledige stande på messen. Det eneste krav er, at virksomhederne deler ud af viden om sig selv eller om muligheder for samarbejde, praktikophold eller karriere. Virksomhedsrepræsentanter er også meget velkommen til at deltage uden en stand.

I løbet af dagen vil vinderen af vores talentkonkurrence PROJECT PLASTIC også blive kåret.

Nedenfor kan du nærstudere programmet for Plastic Engineering Day, der bliver løbende opdateret. Bemærk at arrangementets oplæg er på engelsk, da der er mange udenlandske studerende tilmeldt.

10.00-11.30: Doors open – networking between students and companies

11.30-12.00: Lunch

12.00-12.10: Plastindustrien welcomes all participants

12.10-12.30: Danfoss Cooling: 3D print for production. How to make parts that last.

3D printing is becoming a viable manufacturing method for end components. Saeed D. Farahani will introduce how this is done at Danfoss and how to ensure that quality is met for additively manufactured parts to be used in consumer products.

12.30-12.50: LEGO GroupAn R&D perspective on becoming sustainable by 2030.

The LEGO Group has an ambition to becoming sustainable on products and packaging by 2030. From a Research and Development point of view this quest involves a number of different engineering disciplines. Get an insight into how complex the transformation from a 40 year old polymer into something new can be. Speaker: Jesper Kjærsgaard Christensen, Director Moulding Technology, Bachelor Mech. 12.50-13.10: SolarSack: How to start your own business in the plastic industry – do’s and dont’s

SolarSack is a startup on a mission to provide safe drinking water to some of the 2 billion people that lacks access to clean water. Listen to Alexander Løches compelling story of going from an engineering master thesis to a startup – to be confirmed.

13:50-14:10: BASF: Get the latest polymer trends and knowledge about biopolymers

Polymers are chemistry and BASF is the largest chemical producer in the world. Learn more about the amazing developments going on within such diverse fields as biopolymers, ie. biobased and biodegradable polymers and chemical recycling of used polymers.

14:10-14:30: Auto Desk: Digital tools for design and simulation of plastic parts. Learn from the best.

The design of plastic parts and the accompanying manufacturing tooling is done using specialized CAD and CAE tools. Experience a digital design specialist demonstrate the power of these tools and how easy plastic parts can be designed and simulated.
