Take part in Plastic Engineering Day 2019: career- and industry event for students and companies

Plastic Engineering Day takes place on October 24 at DTU’s Oticon Hall in Lyngby. It is the key event for engineering students interested in career opportunities and the newest innovations in the plastics industry. The event will feature company presentations and a mini career fair, and the PROJECT PLASTIC winners will be chosen.

Del:

Plastic Engineering Day is a collaboration between the Danish Plastics Federation (Plastindustrien) and the technical universities in Denmark. This year it will take place at DTU in Lyngby, Copenhagen. It offers exciting presentations from various Danish companies with examples of plastic materials, new innovations and their impact.

In addition to the presentations, a wide range of companies will be gathered in a mini career fair. You will have the chance to meet with the companies and discuss career opportunities and plastic materials.

Sign up as a student

If you are an engineering student and have an interest in the plastics industry, Plastic Engineering Day is for you.

You can have your travel expenses refunded provided that you use the cheap option for transportation such as KombardoEkspressen or similar. Please keep your receipts and email a copy and your cpr no. after the event to alm@plast.dk.

Make sure to register (see form below).

Sign up as a company

If you are a company and want to take part in the career fair, you can book a stand – free of charge – and share information on/ display at least one of the following:

  • tell about your company and the products
  • display materials and their applications as a raw material supplier
  • tell about career opportunities in you company
  • tell about internship- or collaboration possibilities in your company

Stands are first and foremost reserved members of the Danish Plastics Federation.
Sign up through the form below. Make sure that each individual signs up separately.

You can see photos from last year’s Plastic Engineering day below – and watch a video from last years conference here.

The winners of PROJECT PLASTIC 2019

On Plastic Engineering Day, we will elect the winners PROJECT PLASTIC, our talent competition for engineering students. The competition honors talented young people who, as a part of their engineering studies, have lead the way and shown how we can use plastic materials to create innovative solutions.
The students behind five pre-nominated projects will pitch their ideas to an expert panel. In collaboration with the participants, the panel will select the final winners.

The winner will be rewarded with 25 000 DKK, and the second and third runner up will receive respectively 10 000 and 5000 DKK. You still have the chance to subscribe your project and win.
