The LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark is looking for a new director that thrives in a global leadership role where they will drive the transformation of processes and management systems.


Core Responsibilities

As a member of the leadership team in Quality in Operations (QiO) you will be responsible for our Global Process & Management Systems team of 10 dedicated and highly skilled managers and senior managers – 6 in Billund and 4 on the manufacturing sites around the world.

The key accountability of the team is to ensure that the LEGO Group is certified against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Standards. Together they are embedded in our Integrated Management System (IMS), which is externally audited each year and re-certified every three years.

The IMS is the backbone of our operations and it ensures that we live up to customer and legal requirements, have streamlined processes and continuous improvement of our operational efficiency.

As a strong and experienced leaders’ leader, you provide direction, inspire and develop your global team to performance, well-being and fun at work. This includes to:

  • Ensure that company-wide rules and infrastructure for documentation are defined and implemented
  • Ensure that internal as well as external audits are planned and executed to maintain certificates and stakeholder approvals and assure implementation of corrective actions
  • Make sure that external requirements are known and translated into internal demands and that they are fulfilled by the organization
  • Make sure that relevant business processes are documented, updated and reliable
  • Support process owners on improving processes
  • Coordinate the design, document and improve processes across The LEGO Group
  • Ensure reporting of relevant performance indicators and that key topics are reported to top management

This position exists to enable the organization to define, maintain and optimize the LEGO Group’s critical processes in line with internal and external requirements, maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) and its certificates and provide relevant data to evaluate the efficiency of the Management Systems.

Do you have what it takes?

You probably hold a Masters’ degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar and have 5+ years of experience being a phenomenal leader, in a global context. You have an education within or possess extensive knowledge of ISO standards.

You have proven hands-on global experience with implementation and continuous development and improvement of management systems, and you have experience in navigating both at a strategic, tactical and operational level. Your strategic mindset ensures your end-to-end understanding of the business.

Multi-site experience will be an advantage and you must have good cooperation skills and the ability to win the natural respect of your various stakeholders, including top management level.

Your background and experience have given you the ability to build and lead your team to deliver outstanding results. As a person you are trustworthy, and you build positive relationships with peers and partners. You build trust through dialogue – at all levels of the organization.

The position is located in Billund, Denmark, but as the team spans globally, you should expect approximately 20-25 travelling days per year.
